Assertiveness - this course was fantastic. I didn't know anyone on the course yet came away with some new friends. It was a very safe environment and whilst no one was put in an awkward position of having to share fears and past experiences everyone did and many of the delegates commented that they were surprised at just how much they got out of the course. The trainer used some great tools and techniques to help people come to natural conclusions as to their level of assertiveness and there was a consistent check back to some initial assumptions made. This was followed with some practical and easy to implement techniques to improve in various situations. The trainer also spent the entire lunch break available to anyone who wanted to talk about their CV, academic qualifications etc which was invaluable to me and a real added bonus to the day.
